Final Audio Recording

Idea

For this Project I decided create an interview recording just because I wanted to present my topic through someone else’s experience but with the same concept of soccer. I wanted to hear from other individuals who have faced similar obstacles as mine and still be tie back to the idea I had about creating an organization to help teenagers find solutions to their conflicts when dealing with sports.

Draft Design Process

I recorded the interview on my phone and transported it into my laptop for me to be able to edit on Audition CC. I noticed there was a few “uhmms” throughout the interview recording and used the Razor selected clip tool in order to remove those clips from the track. I reviewed the new recording a few times and decided to lower the volume for his voice to be at the same tone as mine. After I was satisfied with the track, I added a sound bite that I had recorded for it to be the start of the whole recording track. I had a few troubles with it because at times it was too loud or too soft that I had to fade in the panel in order for it to flow into the interview. My recommendation would be to pay close attention to the panel because it can be difficult when figuring out what kind of fade you would want into your recording

Summary Feedback

I am very thankful that I had received feedback from my classmates as it helped me make few edits and changes for my final audio recording. Some of the feedback I received was mostly on tuning down the voice of the interviewer and adding an outro to make it sound more complete and smoother. Overall, those are the only changes and comments that I received from my peers.

Process of Final Audio

For my final audio I did not make much changes just because I took my draft as if it was my final for me to not worry about making much changes to the final recording. Although, I did take my peers feedback in consideration and started by listening to the recording several times to tone down the volume and made a few pin points as the interviewer was speaking for my voice and his voice to be at the same level. Also, I did mess around more with the pan tool just so I can add an outro to the end of my recording for it to be smoother and let the audience know the interview has come to an end. Other than those changes, I did not make any others, it was a fun experience and would recommend to mess around a few times with the volume line and the pan tool for you to be satisfied with the tone you want to set.
